We Are Sikhs is a new initiative of the National Sikh Campaign to improve the awareness of Sikhism and perceptions of Sikh Americans nationally and in local communities throughout the United States. This major marketing and public relations campaign will focus on increasing the Sikh American community’s presence in national and local news outlets, online platforms and within their neighborhoods. We Are Sikhs utilizes tested television advertisements, an innovative website, earned media efforts, targeted digital outreach and community events to affect change.

In 2018 the We Are Sikhs initiative was awarded the highest honor in the PR and Marketing industry - a PR Week Award in the category 'Best For A Cause'. A PR Week award is considered "the Oscar" of the PR industry. We Are Sikhs was also a finalist for a Shorty Award, which recognizes social media excellence, in the categories of 'Social Activism' and 'Multicultural Engagement'.
